Itinerary Day by Day

Day 1: Chengdu - Wolong - Rilong

Today's Highlights:

Drive to Rilong; Wolong Panda Base

Details:

We will depart in the morning and continue drive to Rilong which is about 220 km from Chengdu (about 5-6 hours driving). It is a small town, situated at an altitude of 10,000ft. En route, we will visit Wolong Panda Base, one of the earliest research bases established in the early 1980s. Overnight in Rilong.

Day 2: Rilong-Changpinggou Horse riding-Rilong

Today's Highlights:

Changpinggou Valley; Mt. Siguniang

Details:

Transfer to Changpinggou valley after breakfast, tourists may visit this valley by trekking or horse-riding, you can see the stunning beautiful four peaks of Mt. Siguniang and virgin forest, travellers should prepare some food. The price for horse riding is depending on the riding distance. Overnight in Rilong.

Day 3: Rilong-Danba

Today's Highlights:

Shuangqiao Gorge; Drive to Danba; Danba Jiaju Village

Details:

After breakfast, visit Shuangqiao gorge,then drive to Danba, around 4hours driving. Danba is well-known for the spectacular watchtower groups, the representative Tibetan villages and the pretty Tibetan ladies, so it has a nickname of "the Kingdom of Watchtowers" and "Beauty Valley". Visit Danban Jiaju Tibetan village, touch the local tibetans lifestyle. Overnight in Danba.

Day 4: Danba-Xinduqiao

Today's Highlights:

Drive to Xinduqiao; Bamei and Tagong Grassland

Details:

After breakfast, driving to Xinduqiao, is always called as the platform of photographer. the photography lover using the place, could take numerous beautiful pictures of plateau pastureland. En route enjoy the beautiful natural scenery of Bamei and Tagong grassland. Overnight in Xinduqiao.

Day 5: Xinduqiao-Kangding-Hailuogou

Today's Highlights:

Mt. Zheduo; Drive to Kanding;

Details:

After breakfast, Sightseeing at Xinduqiao which is famous for the naturally scenery. Cross Mt. Zheduo at an elevation of 4300m, and arrive in Kangding for lunch then have a self city tour of Kangding. Kangding itself is locates in a valley between some hills with a river flowing through it. One of the hills is called Paoma Shan, and it is famous in China because of a Chinese folk song telling about the beauty of that mountain. Continue driving to Hailuogou and overnight at Moxi town.

Day 6:Hailuogou Glacier one-day tour

Today's Highlights:

Hailuogou National Glacier Forest Park

Details:

Glacier one-day tour, overnight in Moxi town. After breakfast, drive to Hailuogou National Glacier Forest Park, if you prefer to see the spectacular view of the glacier, you can catch the ropeway to the top, then drive to camp 2, enjoy the hot spring, after that, drive back to Moxi town.

Day 7: Back to Chengdu

Today's Highlights:

Back to Chengdu

Details:

We will drive back to Chengdu after breakfast. Tour ends.

Tips for This Tour

1. Cold in night, bring enough clothes to keep warm;
2. Heavy sunshine in daytime, bring sunglasses and sunblock.
3. Avoid catching cold and bring some medicine;
4. Pass several mountains which are above 4,000 meters. For those who suffered from high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, and heart disease, is not suitable.
5. No alcohol; More water, vegetable, and fruits.
6. The living condition and food supplies are compared not good. Prepare some food if necessary.
7. Protect the environment and respect the local culture. Prepare some candies or stationery as the gifts to the local people.
