"Tibet is a Fascinating and Beautiful Place"

Customer name: Juliet Hay & John Caldwell
Nationality: USA & New Zealand
Travel dates: Oct. 19, 2008-Oct. 29, 2008
Itinerary: 7 Days EBC Adventure Tour Overland from Lhasa to Kathmandu via Qinghai-Tibet Railway from Xining to Lhasa

"Hi Fiona

Nice to hear from you and thanks for the Christmas greetings.

I had been meaning to write to let you know that we had a great trip -Tibet is a fascinating and beautiful place. Thank you very much for being so efficient and helpful in the planning stages. Everything went pretty smoothly -even the weather was good with the only real disappointment being that we did not see Everest Base camp looking as it does in the photo below (we should have stayed another couple of hours as it did clear later in the day but we did not realise this would happen). I would also just mention is that after Lhasa it got very cold at night and the places where we stayed in Sakya, Shegar, and Old Tinggri did not have any heating in the rooms. The place at Old Tinggri also had no running water and only very dim lights. If you are booking people into those places during the autumn, winter and spring months you might want to mention that so they can come a bit more prepared than we were eg bring their own warm sleeping bag.

All the best for 2009!

Regards

Juliet"

What Our Customer Say

"We are most grateful for the excellent care which Fiona and her colleagues took of us both before and during our visit. Ms. Fiona was probably the best travel advisor we have ever had. Mr. Abibulla gave us a good introduction to Uighur culture, enabled us to make some delightful mountain walks. Mr. Wang was a super driver, always drive safely, took great care in maintaining vehicle. He helped us with difficult climbs and was kindly, interesting and a pleasure to talk to. All the sites were interesting and spectacular and we had no disappointments."
