Fiona managed to get our Tibet travel permit as promised. She had to change our itinerary and hotels but wasn't proved until our choices in the end.

Dorjee is incredibly knowledgeable and such a wonderful guide. He really makes sure we are always happy, comfortable and where we want to be. He was highly recommended and we will do the same!

Our driver was fabulous and always safe, courteous to us and very entertaining. Shame he didn't speak English.

Lhasa Gorkha Hotel was a lovely place with fantastic staff but the rooms are not maintained properly. Shigatse Jiumu Yamei Hotel was fine for a night but no Tibetan feeling. Namtso Camp was an experience, the dogs are awful at night.

The food we had was from great to ok. In the evening we chose where to eat and Dorjee gave us the budget. Perhaps Travel West China should advise more from the beginning?

Namtso and our hike along the lake was magnificent, the weather is changeable and nights are really cold. Should advise clothing! Yangpachen Hot Spring our friends advised was terrible, very Chinese and concrete-not worth 180CNY entry fee.

Tibet is a stunning place and we go for the Tibetan experience not Chinese as the rest of China can't offer this.

Try to promote Gorkha Hotel. Their location and staff and wonderful history as the Nepal Embassy. Hotels like Sheraton have enough business already!

Advise people enough clothing for Namtso night. Tell people to bring a hand sanitizer and wet wipe tissues as washing facilities are often not available. Tell people to bring altitude sickness medicine (Diamox) and they can buy oxygen in the hotels. Littering is the worst part of the sights. We know it's not a Travel Agency's responsibility but all plastic bottles and other trash while on the road should be disposed of in a proper environmentally friendly manner. Keep Tibet spectacular!
