"Nice to Watch Tibetan Landscape and not Have to Worry about Safety"

Customer name: Sacha Man Cheong & Pao Wing Chung
Nationality: U.K & Hong Kong
Travel dates: Oct. 24, 2009-Oct. 31, 2009
Itinerary: 7 Days Tibet Essence and Mt. Everest Base Camp Highlights Tour

Our guide was very helpful and was happy to get up early in the morning, so I could take photos at sunrise. He has a good knowledge of buddhism and the history of the monastaries we visited.

It's a very safe driving. It was nice to be able to watch the beautiful Tibetan landscape and not have to worry about our safety.

This is Tibet so our expectations were not high. Some hotels were better than others, but overall we felt comfortable and this did not spoil the trip. Again as this is Tibet, we did not have high expectations. I felt that the food was often not hot enough (I do not like eating food which is neither hot or cold). At one hotel, we skipped breakfast.

Norbulingka Summer Palace is not worthy of visit. We love the trip of Mount Everest and Drepung Monastery very much.

Tibet is a wonderful place, rich in history and culture. We come at the end of October so there were no shows/festivals to observe. We did however see the monks debating at Sera Monastery. We also enjoyed the monks reciting their scripts at the highest monastary Rongbuk in the world.
