Itinerary: Overland Tour from Lhasa (Tibet) to Kathmandu (Nepal) via Tibet Train from Shanghai to Lhasa

It was a pleasure working with Fiona with her good advice. Our holiday in Tibet went off without a hitch.

Tsering is a very likeable and competent guide and I would highly recommend any of my friends visiting Tibet request his help.

Our driver was very competent and handled the vehicle very well on some tough roads. The Mitsubishi is in fair condition but needs new tyres etc. and A/C service.

I think we were provided with the best hotels available in each town, so we have no complaints. Sometimes food avaialble at the hotels was not to our liking, but Tsering usually round us a good restraurant.

I think our favorite site would have to be Potala Palace. It was awesome! I don't think there was a least favorite-every site has something special to offer. Tsering's commentary on each site visited made them all interesting.

All in all, we have had an interesting and enjoyable week. But I think I will never forget the drive from Everest Base Camp to Old Tingri.  The weather was perfect, and the scenery spectacular. We were lucky that day!
