Overview
Tenzin hotel is the most popular budget hotel in Shigatse. This delightful little inn is conveniently located in the middle of town, about twenty minutes walk from the bus station. Opposite the hotel is a market, a good place to go looking for souvenirs.
This is a friendly and busy hotel, providing dorm beds and standard double rooms, some with attached bathrooms and great views of the Tashilumpo Monastery. There is only one toilet here and two erratic showers. Hot water is supplied 24 hours a day, but is not that reliable. The Tashi Restaurant can offer the real Tibetan and Nepalese food.
