Overview
Despite all the publicity it is a five star hotel, we should make it clear that there is no real five star hotel in Lhasa. It's only for propaganda. But this Hotel is definitely among the best quality and best service in Tibet.
Opened in 2007, this hotel shares the name of one of the holiest lakes in Tibet, Lake Manasarovar. It is located in the east part of the Lhasa city, a little bit far away from the old downtown (Barchor area). It is wholly Tibetan owned and managed. The management team is the same one with the famous ‘Yak hotel'.
There're totally more than 180 rooms, including the Presidential Suite, Deluxe Tibetan Suite, Business Suite, Deluxe Double Room, and Deluxe Single Room. Decorated entirely in Tibetan style with all the amenities and comforts of top class accommodation.
