Overview
Kyichu Hotel is named after the Kyichu River, which in Tibetan is known as "the river of happiness". It is conveniently situated between the sacred Jokhang Temple in Barkhor Square, and the World Heritage famed Potala Palace-and just a few minutes walk from both-in the ancient, traditional quarter of Lhasa.
As one of the oldest private hotels in Lhasa catering to travellers, the Kyichu is a cozy 52-room, family run establishment. All rooms are attached bathroom and 24 hour hot/cold running water.
The disadvantage of this hotel is no elevator, however, there are only 2 floors. Not recommendable in peak season as rooms are tight to get.

What Our Customer Say
"Should include more guidance on what coat to bring, lack of oxygen, dizziness on plateau. 3 stars hotels could not be compared with those of China. Dorjee was knowledgeable, gentle and patient. Always on time. Tashi had very safe driving style. He was never tired or having bad temper. Very professional. When my wife's glove got lost, Dorjee went back and recorded it for us. After several travels, it's very hard to find a tour guide with such commitment. Tibet is FANTASTIC! It is deserved to reTurn to Tibet!"Oscar Barquero
